Saturday, April 12th: Battle of the Big Band Orchestras, sponsored by the UK School of Music and the UK Swing Dance Club. The Kentucky Jazz Repertory Orchestra and the UK Jazz Ensemble will battle it out for supremacy in the UK Student Center Grand Ballroom in this 1930’s style swing era battle of the big bands. Come hear the classic songs of the swing era by such artists as Duke Ellington, Jimmie Lunceford, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Count Basie, Glenn Miller and others.
