Hamilton County Sheriff Simon Leis' arresting dance performance wasn't enough to win the "Dancing for the Stars" championship Saturday night.

Leis, one of six celebrity dancers at the Music Hall benefit, ended his swing dance with partner Bonita Brockert by being arrested by sheriff's deputies, handcuffed and charged with impersonating a dancer.

But the loudest audience applause - and title - was given to WCPO-TV (Channel 9) weekend morning anchor Jenell Walton, even though she fell during her swing dance with partner Doug Reynolds.

"She captured the swing better than anyone," says Van Ackerman, marketing director for the Cincinnati Arts Association, the event organizer.

The other contestants were MidwestLatino president Michael Beck; Tony-nominated actress Pam Myers; WDBZ-AM (1230 BUZZ) talk host Lincoln Ware; and Cincinnati City Council member Roxanne Qualls.
